BE shop is the online extension of the renowned bel etage gallery in Vienna, a leading specialist in Viennese Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, and 20th-century design since 1975.

 

Founded by Wolfgang Bauer, bel etage has spent over five decades bringing together exceptional works of Viennese modernism, with a particular focus on the Wiener Werkstätte and its influential artists and designers, including Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, Dagobert Peche, Otto Prutscher, Jutta Sika, and Marie Kirschner. The gallery's expertise also extends to works created by students and graduates of the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts (Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule), whose innovative approaches helped shape the development of modern design.

 

Building on this legacy, BE Shop offers a fresh perspective on collecting historical design, making carefully selected antiques and distinctive design objects accessible to a new generation of collectors, design enthusiasts, and interior professionals.
